The role:

We’re looking for a Head of Strategy and Planning to lead our Legacy team as we expand our services across our pillars, hype, demand, and legacy. This person will provide strategic leadership and planning across the agency, clients and new business. This will include pitching and working across assigned accounts.

We’re looking for someone with great energy, who can rally, excite, and engage a team and clients. When we say we’re looking for thought leadership, we mean we’re looking for someone who looks where other aren’t, curious and relentless in equal measure to find stand out angles, approaches and opportunities to make everything we do best in class.

Our least favourite phrase at The Fitting Room is ‘’this is how it’s always been done’’, we’re not looking to deliver thinking and ideas that people have already seen. We’re looking for a diverse cultural lens and thinking. You’ll have a love of storytelling and will understand how to plan and build strategies that generate hype, demand, and legacy.

Culture and storytelling, and a love of pop-culture, alongside a hunger to make sh*t happen, is a must have.

You’ll play a role in the marketing of the agency, from blogs to white papers, to our weekly emailer The Sunday Sermon. Making sure we are always at the forefront strategic and culturally led conversations.

You will report directly into our Founder and Managing Director, work alongside our Head of Agency and you will manage the legacy team.

We work with global and household names and we’re incredibly proud of the work we do and the people we work with. Some of our clients include: BOXPARK, Bugaboo, Campari Group and Popeyes.

The day-to-day

  • Lead the Legacy team with cultural and creative excellence
  • Ideate and map out culturally relevant campaigns
  • Day-to-day client contact for matters of strategy and planning for specific assigned clients, including marketing and brand strategy, brand positioning, communications, messaging, media and rollouts.
  • The explorer in  our mission of discovery to define brand, customer and marketplace insights and opportunities for clients
  • Identify and build communications that achieve clients goals
  • Deliver cross-functionally within the agency to ensure the successful execution of approved strategies
  • Work with the team to deliver new business wins
  • Participate in creation of programs crossing each of our pillars (hype, demand and legacy), both internally and client side
  • Work alongside our Founder and Managing Director to build The Fitting Room into the home of culture
  • Be a key player in our vision of building the best culture and communications agency in Europe

Key responsibilities:

  • Making sure our strategies are the most relevant in the game and that our campaign rollouts are the best in class

Key skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid presentation skills
  • At least 7 years agency experience
  • Authoritative, leadership presence
  • Strong leadership presence and client management skills
  • A love of pop culture

Relevant experience

  • Agency experience is a must
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience within strategy
  • Experience working with global/ FMCG brands
  • A strong network
