Vedett, part of the Duvel Moortgat group approached us when they were looking to start talking to their customer more. They wanted an authentic campaign that could drive awareness of the brand, and the quality of Belgian beer.
Beer is a competitive space in the UK, with everyday lagers owning the conversation with brand equity that has been growing for 50+ years.
Instead of competing with catchy catch phrases and large activations, we focused on Belgian culture. Why is Belgium so great? Our research identified that several famous illustrators were from Belgium, they also have a high number of female DJs. We recruited genuine Belgian talent to join the campaign and travelled to Belgium to hear their stories. #BelgiumUntold was born
