Leading Idris Elba’s launch event for Netflix’s The Harder They Fall, bringing together UK and US stars for a culture-first premiere that made serious noise.
TFR was appointed by Idris Elba to lead social media and marketing across his portfolio of brands, whilst developing content strategy and rollouts for key projects for his entertainment career.
For the launch of The Harder They Fall, written and produced by Jeymes Samuel and Jay-Z, TFR was appointed to ideate, produce, and manage a launch event that brought the film’s core themes to life.
Set against the backdrop of Black cowboys and untold stories of the American West, our brief was to create a culturally resonant experience that honoured the film’s legacy, talent, and celebration of Black history, identity, and power.
The event was hosted at Pan-African, Black-owned Mayfair restaurant Stork.
We incorporated branded touch points from Idris Elba’s champagne brand Porte Noire, including an ice luge and black flower wall.
To further the experience, we worked with Pan ‘n’ Ice to create black ice cream with gold flakes and stationed stories of Black cowboys throughout the venue to educate guests on the untold history.
